Requests for pictures of works intended to be reproduced in an exhibition catalogue or publication (other than in the press [lien espace presse]) on an invitation, a poster, or any other marketing support documents, a post card, documentary film, etc., is subject to approval by the Musée de Flandre.
Pictures are made available free-of-charge where certain conditions are met:
- The legend must explicitly mention “Cassel, Musée Départemental de Flandre” and “© / Photographer’s first and last name
- A copy of the published work where the picture is reproduced must be sent in the month following its publication to the Musée de Flandre, to the attention of Ms Cécile Laffon, Executive Assistant. Sending a copy of the published work does not release from adhering to existing conditions for reproduction.
- Certain works are subject to payment of additional copyright fees. Copyrights last 70 years after the calendar year which follows the artist’s death. Please note that copyrights may infer refusal of certain adaptations or uses. These fees are generally paid to ADAGP.
The Museum’s authorisation is valid for one (1) reproduction and for one (1) use; in the event of reprints or printings other than that originally requested, you must submit another request.
Above all, please download and complete the pdf version of the Request Form and attach to the Photograph Request Form
